David Schorr has a unique “behind the scenes” perspective on the real estate market having worked in various facets of the business. He not only possesses seasoned experience in residential and commercial sales and leasing, but has marketed and sold high-end luxury new developments, advised investors on their portfolios, and consulted with developers on value optimization for their projects. Because of his diverse expertise, clients feel confident and empowered with David on their side when seeking or selling property.
David, who holds a BS in Business Administration from Boston University and a Master of Real Estate from New York University, first worked as an equities trader (holding his Series 7, 55 and 63 licenses) before transitioning into the world of office products sales. With an exceptional track record and client following, he decided to focus on something bigger, better, and more rewarding. As project manager for The Developers Group, David managed the marketing and sales of over $100 million of luxury condominiums in the New York Metro area, while providing development consulting on unit mix, finishes, layouts, etc. More recently, he served as Director of Finance and Development for aptsandlofts.com, a brokerage firm in Williamsburg where he also consulted with developers, worked on business development and headed the distressed assets division.
Originally from New Jersey, David has long been on the pulse and part of the fabric of vibrant New York City. He attended high school on the Upper East Side, has worked throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan his entire career, and currently resides in beautiful Gramercy Park. His extensive knowledge of the Manhattan and Brooklyn markets is complemented by the hands-on approach to client service that makes David such an effective partner in the real estate process.
While his eye is always on the market, David has a passion for international business and travel that began early on. While in college, he interned at a major international law firm and Chase Manhattan in London. David also lived in Israel for six months, and is proficient in Hebrew. Favorite pastimes include cooking, photography, and Kung Fu when time allows.
