As a resident of Manhattan for almost 30 years, I have experienced a myriad of changes in the city. Living and working in a number of neighborhoods through various markets, has given me a perspective on the city that my clients find exceptionally helpful. Simply put, I know Manhattan, its history, and all its neighborhoods very well. Selling real estate in such a diverse and dynamic city takes a great deal of knowledge, passion and energy, and I bring those attributes to every transaction.
Previous to selling real estate, I was an actor treading the boards both here in Manhattan, and in Ireland. Like many actors, I gravitated toward the restaurant business. I worked first in Manhattan, and later in California, as a general manager, sommelier and later, had my own restaurant consulting firm. I consulted on luxury properties, including Aqua Restaurant in San Francisco and the St. Regis Hotel in Dana Point, California. That experience taught me the patience and diplomacy to understand the needs of clients and customers at the highest level. When you’ve worked at the best properties, you learn that those customers have achieved a level of success that demands a very high level of service.
I understand the needs and expectations of clients at the highest level and that level is right here in New York City. In these past few years in a very tough market, I have put together some very difficult deals. My strengths have helped me considerably in these deals. I believe strongly in the art of listening and in keeping the deal moving forward. When there is a strong desire to sell or buy, a deal shouldn’t collapse until every possible solution to that deal has been explored. I strongly believe that the process is about the client and their investments, and listening to their needs. The market has changed, and my strengths include my ability to help my client navigate through the deal with the best information on the market as it stands today. My fiduciary responsibility to my client is my highest priority.
